high-waisted shorts how-to!

Photobucket
First: go to your local Goodwill or any other second hand shop

Photobucket
Second: Go to the women's denim shorts and pick out all the mom jean shorts that look like they could fit around the belly-button part of your waist.
Photobucket
Third: Go and try on all the shorts and see what fits and what doesn't!!
Photobucket
Fourth: Make sure you take someone with you that is willing to hold your clothes for you while you shop ;) hehe.
Photobucket
Fifth: They may look really dorky now, but you are on your way to some awesome high-waisted shorts!
Photobucket
Sixth: Decide how short you want them to be, and then cut them like you do cut-offs.
Photobucket
Seventh: Start off with the front of the shorts and cut straight and even. DO NOT cut the back of the shorts at the same time as the front!
Photobucket
Eighth: Now move on to the back, but do not cut straight across. Because you want them to be just a tad longer in the back (if you got a booty like I do)...so you need to start off by cutting straight but do a "C" curve (just a slight one) and then make your way back up.
Photobucket
Ninth: Repeat on the other side!

Photobucket
Tenth:If you didn't draw any sort of line to follow (which I don't) then try them on and you can see where you have gone wrong, if you went crooked, or if one side is longer than the other. If so , then you need to do some trimming!!! (It really helps if you have someone help you with the trimming while you have them on!)
Photobucket
Eleventh: Tada! Cool high-waisted shorts! If you want them to have a fray all you have to do is wash and dry them! But if you want to roll them, scroll down! :)

Twelfth: Or you can roll them!!! If you want to roll them....make sure you don't cut them too short so you will have fabric to roll-up!

Since a lot of you asked me to do a diy on the high-waisted shorts I am always wearing I thought I would! I hope this helps you all out! (I'm not really the best at explaining things!) And if you mess up the first time, it's okay! You can go back and get more because they are only like $3.00!!
